Drama Toolbox, established in 1996, is a leading incursion service provider in Melbourne and Sydney. Our team of passionate educators is dedicated to using drama as a tool for education, and our office support crew ensures you'll feel supported and equipped every step of the way. More importantly every student and teacher leave the incursions with a smile on their faces and a spring in their step!

The Role:

As a Drama Toolbox teacher, you'll embark on a diverse and exciting journey across Melbourne metro, delivering between 1-5 workshop sessions a day to students. Join our team and deliver engaging drama workshops to primary schools, childcare centres, and preschools across Melb metro. You'll have the opportunity to educate through imagination and drama, bringing diversity and interest to your teaching role.

We are searching for a reliable and skilled casual teacher available 4 days per week with flexibility for the 5th day. These days will be a blend of half and full days according to the bookings for that week. Whilst the role fits in casual guidelines, we believe in investing in our staff for the long term and this position is an ongoing position.

About You - the Successful Candidate:

We're looking for a high-energy individual with Bachelor of Education or equivalent and current VIT registration. You will have at least 2 years of experience working with primary and/or preschool-aged children. Your love of pure teaching without the administration or duty of care allows you to immerse in high energy passion and fun! Your captivating storytelling abilities and strong group management skills will ensure engaging and effective workshop sessions.

You'll thrive in a dynamic environment, visiting different educational settings each day and building rapport with both new and returning customers. With excellent time management and multitasking skills, you'll navigate across metro Melb with ease, equipped with your own reliable car and communication tools.

You will be flexible around term 1 bookings, blending the down time with your own passions, creativity or family needs.

You live close to the Whitehorse region as our office is in Mitcham and will need to be accessed regularly to pick up and drop off kits used in the lessons. As such you will be mobile with a reliable car, be able to store kits in a secure location at home and have a valid Working with Children's Check.
