Customer Service Representative
Rate: $36.11 per hour plus Super
Type: Ongoing contract
Hours: Monday - Friday, 20 hours a week, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Location: Leeton

To note: The paid training program is delivered full-time over 8 -10 weeks. Contractors may need to travel to a specialised training facility (Penrith or Coffs Harbour) for 2 weeks during these periods to fulfil their training requirements. Successful candidates have the ability to work from offices in Griffith and Narrandera.

Hays has partnered with a state government organisation to fill a role in Leeton. This well-known and supportive organisation is a household name, with sites across NSW. They value exceptional customer service above all. With on the job training and opportunities within the business once your foot is in the door, this organisation is seeking candidates with experience in customer service, administration or similar roles.

Your new role

The successful candidates will be placed on a roster from Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays.
After completing training, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Answering inbound calls, addressing queries, first point of contact for walk-ins and providing accurate information to clients
• Working in a fast-paced environment providing excellent customer service
• Using multiple government systems, entering data and navigating multiple screens
• Meeting KPIs
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in government or banking, or insurance or retail, or similar (highly desirable)
• Previous experience in customer service, administration or similar (essential)
• Excellent communication skills, able to 'smile through the phone'
• Tech-savvy, the ability to pick up systems quickly and navigate across multiple government programs
• Successful candidates may need to complete a police check
