About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and supportive Allied Health Team. We have full time and part time positions currently available (1 x ongoing and 1 x fixed term for 12 months) with roles covering either paediatrics, acute and/or community caseloads.
The position offers a breadth of opportunity which may include a mixed caseload of patients, residents and clients, together with education activities for both consumers and staff at Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS). We also provide services to NDIS clients and Home Care Packages. Experience or interest in Paediatrics will be highly regarded.
As an Occupational Therapist at GSHS you will:
Have appropriate qualification in Occupational Therapy approved by Occupational Therapy Australia and be eligible for membership to AHPRA.
Provide exceptional and evidence based service delivery in the Occupational Therapy department.
Have the capacity to further develop your clinical and supervisory skills.
Partake in quality improvement and research activities.
Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Like the challenge of a varied caseload, and display good organisation and time management skills.
Depending on grading - provide clinical supervision and leadership to new graduates.
Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. All applicants will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
