About us:

Nurture Family Allied Health and Dental Centre is a locally owned and operated business providing care to families of Townsville and surrounding areas. Our concept is to provide comprehensive co-ordinated care combining General Practice and Allied Health Practitioners working together in a collaborative, under one roof to provide continuity of care for the patients who attend our practice.

We are a fully equipped Private Billing Medical Centre in beautiful Townsville and are looking for a Part Time /Casual Registered Nurse to join our well established, supportive multidisciplinary allied health and medical centre. We are passionate about the health of our patients and staff and we are seeking another motivated clinician to join our close knit team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a friendly and energetic team member with previous experience working in General Practice to deliver quality clinical nursing services to doctors and patients.

The successful applicant will contribute to collecting accurate health care information, maintain accurate documentation as required and be able to communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members.

Skills & experience:

Previous experience working in general practice (preferred)

Strong communication and time management skills

A caring and collaborative approach to patient care

EEN or RN AHPRA registration

Best Practice Medical Software knowledge (preferable)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Positive, can-do attitude

Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.

Patient Triage

Assist doctors with emergency/injury management.

Managing a treatment room including wound care, dressings and assisting with minor procedures

Health assessments & chronic disease management

Vaccinations

Children immunisations

Iron Infusions

Maintaining stock levels
