About the role

Harvey Allatt and Co Pty Ltd is a Chartered Accounting firm seeking an experienced Taxation Return Preparation professional to join our small team on a short term contract basis. This is a critical role that will be responsible for preparing and filing accurate and compliant tax returns with the review and supervision the principal of the firm . The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an tax and accounting professional and manager

Preparing personal and business income tax returns, ensuring all relevant laws and regulations are met

Reviewing financial records and statements to gather necessary information for tax return preparation

Conducting some tax research for clients

Communicating with clients to gather additional information and clarify tax-related inquiries

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support tax filings

Some additional service around BAS preparation will be involved

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Taxation,experience in personal and business tax return preparation

Demonstrated expertise in Australian taxation laws and regulations

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify tax planning opportunities

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines

Proficient in using tax preparation software and spreadsheet applications

Strong communication and client service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
