
Counsellor/Case Manager - New Roads

Join our team at New ROADS! Where we offer comprehensive alcohol and other drug (AOD) and comorbidity services. We specialise in 1:1 counselling, group sessions, police drug diversion, case management, and residential rehabilitation.
This role will focus on providing thorough assessments to understand the client's current situation, needs, strengths, and challenges to enter the New ROADS Residential Rehabilitation Program. You will be responsible to evaluate any potential risks to the client or others and identify needs that must be addressed to ensure safety and well-being of the client in the pre-admission stage of the program.
As a Counsellor/Case Manager, you'll engage in a diverse array of duties including:
Providing therapeutic AOD services both in-office and through outreach programs
Supporting individuals in our AOD programs to initiate and maintain healthy lifestyle changes
Cultivating community partnerships to enhance client outcomes and increase service referrals
Combating the stigma surrounding AOD and mental health issues
About You
Ideally, you'll hold a Diploma or Bachelors in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or possess specific AOD qualifications coupled with relevant experience.
You will need to demonstrate proficiency in offering intensive support, counselling, and case management, along with expertise in implementing a multidisciplinary, integrated approach.
You will excel in building and nurturing positive relationships with diverse clients, community groups, and external agencies and a passion for working with the people.
