Administrative Officer – Accounts Payable
· 8-day fortnight Tuesday to Friday 36-hour week
· Temporary minimum 4-week contract with possible extension for couple of months
· Minimum $55.00 per hour

The Opportunity
A prominent figure within the power industry is seeking an accounts payable officer to work in assisting the smooth operations of their Finance department on a temporary assignment, this role is responsible for the efficient processing of accounts payable transactions, supporting payroll functions, and providing general administrative support to other departments as required. This job is an 8-day fortnight working Tuesday to Friday 36-hour week. 7.00am to 4.30pm.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Process operating and capital expenditure payments via EFT and cheque.
· Maintain organised and accurate accounts payable records.
· Reconcile creditor statements and prepare month-end accruals.
· Distribute recipient-created tax invoices and manage petty cash accounts.
· Deposit incoming funds and perform routine clerical duties.
· Support payroll processing as backup and assist other admin functions across departments.
· Ensure compliance with our clients Health, Safety & Environmental policies and Business Management System procedures.
About you
· Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or a similar finance administrative role.
· Understanding of basic accounting principles and payroll processes.
· High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in accounting systems, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
