Senior Family Lawyer opportunity to join our client’s expanding team in Sydney. In this role, you will be working closely with a leading family law Partner and a supportive team of high-performing lawyers across the national practice.

About the position:

In this role, you will be working closely with a leading Accredited Specialist family law Partner and a supportive team of high-performing lawyers across the national practice.
This role offers diverse and high-value work involving:

• Property settlements with complex financial structures, trusts and businesses
• Parenting disputes involving parental responsibility and custody arrangements
• Binding financial agreements, pre-nuptial contracts, child support and maintenance
• Cases involving family violence, personal protection orders, and Hague Convention matters
• Participation in both alternative dispute resolution and litigated matters

You will play a key role in advising clients compassionately through challenging times while maintaining commercial focus and strategic clarity.

About the Family Law practice:

Our client is a well-established national law firm, highly regarded for its sophisticated family law practice. With offices across Australia and continued national growth, their Sydney team is recognised for managing sensitive and complex family law matters with professionalism, care, and strategic precision. The team collaborates closely with peers across Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide and is known for its strong leadership, ethical approach, and client-focused service.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years’ post-admission experience in family law
• Solid experience across parenting and property matters, including complex asset pools
• Confident in dispute resolution and litigation
• Strong drafting and communication skills
• Specialist Accreditation and/or Master of Family Law (highly regarded)
• Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues in high-stress situations
