The Role
As a Store Person reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our business's success. Collaborating closely with the Warehouse Manager and working alongside our Manufacturing and Service teams, you will be a time-focused, fast-paced individual who understands the significance of customer service and can effectively prioritise tasks to meet key deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to adhering to set processes with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy. The physical requirements of the position, such as picking, packing, and manual handling of various goods/components, necessitate an energetic individual.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management: Assist with ordering, receiving, dispatch, and storing goods efficiently. Ensure product and packaging quality and maintain accurate product information in the database.
Logistics Management: Collaborate on liaising with freight forwarders for quotes and bookings, oversee shipments, and manage delays and issues both internationally and domestically.
Facility Management: Assist in maintaining the warehouse in a safe, secure, and well-organised manner. Develop and take ownership of processes and day-to-day running of the warehouse.
Customer Service: Assist customers with product information, order status, and delivery timeframes.
Product Development: Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels and introduce new products into inventory. This includes parts interpreting and sourcing new parts from suppliers locally and internationally.
Stocktakes: Conduct regular stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a continuous improvement culture within the team.
Training and Coaching: Coach and train new employees.
Workflow Management: Assist with the management of workflow between the Sales team ordering and Manufacturing team.
Required Skills and Experience
Cert III in Warehousing Operations, forklift license, and current driver's license.
Previous experience in stock control and warehouse organisation.
Experience with electrical goods/components (preferable).
Good communication skills (written and verbal) with a positive 'can do' attitude.
Ability to communicate positively with suppliers and customers while maintaining confidentiality.
Highly organised, able to work systematically and accurately.
Reliable, trustworthy, and well-presented.
Proactive approach and ability to work autonomously.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Office.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide innovative solutions.
