Asphalt & Civil Hire are currently seeking multiple staff to fill various road construction positions within asphalt and teams located in northern end of the Gold Coast. The role is casual with full time hours and the potential to go permanent for the right candidates.

Positions available:

Pavement advisors: Experience is essential. This role would suit someone with some form of soil or concrete testing/Lab technician, or 2+ years on a paving crew.

Asphalt and spray seal operators and labourers: General Asphalt Experience - or - Experience in spray seal - tipper & spreader experience or walking floor experience

Truck Drivers: Experience with a HR, HC or MC drivers license

About your new role:

Carrying out general duties and assisting the crew with works from preparation through to completion.

You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in the roading industry

Following instructions of site leadership and working safely in a high-risk environment

Participation in toolbox talks, safety initiatives, incident reporting

You may operate machinery, if/when required on site (With training provided)

Asphalt & Civil Hire pay above award wages with great Penalty rates and night shift allowances. ($40-$50ph + Penalties on Dayshift / $58-$80ph + Penalties on Nightshift) Rates reflect experience.

The majority of the works are conducted at night

We are looking for candidates who possess:

*Construction Induction card

* Current Drivers License

*Experience in any form of Asphalt, Spray Seal & PA or possess a HR, HC or MC license

*Willingness to undergo pre employment checks, including drug and alcohol testing

*Flexibility to work across multiple shift times

*Safety conscious attitude

*Strong work ethic/ Will turn up every day

*Additional tickets/licenses highly regarded
