About Us
Wolki Construction is a dynamic rural residential and commercial building company based in Albury/Wodonga. From time to time, you may be required to work away from home, though this is not a regular part of the role.. Our projects range from renovations and extensions to custom builds and accessibility upgrades.
The Role
We’re looking for a Qualified Carpenter who can work autonomously, take initiative, and is confident supervising job sites with support and oversight from the company director. This role suits a highly capable and experienced carpenter who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in their work, and is confident communicating with subcontractors and clients on site.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out a range of carpentry duties including framing, lock-up, fix-out, and cladding
Read and interpret plans and scopes of work accurately
Supervise on-site works and trades, ensuring quality and timelines are met
Communicate clearly with the director, clients, and team members
Maintain a safe and tidy job site, adhering to safety protocols and SWMS
Liaise with suppliers and manage deliveries as needed
Solve problems on the go and keep the job moving efficiently
What We’re Looking For
Fully qualified carpenter with Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent)
Minimum 3+ years post-apprenticeship experience (ideally more)
Strong ability to work independently and take initiative
Confident supervising and coordinating small teams or subcontractors
Excellent communication and time management skills
Reliable, trustworthy, and takes pride in high standards of work
White Card and driver’s licence (manual preferred)
Own tools and transport
