About us

Tropical designs was established in 1989 with current owners in place since 2005. Tropical designs is the largest signage company within 135km so therefore extremely busy. We do a range of signage including vehicle wraps, marine, shopfront, builders and real estate. Tropical designs is very well known in the Whitsundays and by major Sign Management companies such as Signmanager. We often produce or install signage as a third party for companies out of our area. Tropical uses a job management system called Shopvox and successful applicant will be shown how to use. We like to have a short day Friday so we can start our weekend.

Qualifications & experience

Ability to lay out vinyl and to install onto various surfaces.

Ability to problem solve with support from team.

CNC Routing experience - desired but not essential.

Vehicle/Vessel wraps - desired but not essential.

Tasks & responsibilities

Applicants need to be confident and able to produce a high standard of signage.

Quality control and attention to detail.

Able to oversee Apprentice.

Ability to work in a face paced and at times chaotic environment.

Work within a team to organise the jobs for the day and upcoming days.

Keeping the workshop area clean and tidy. Constructive criticism on how to improve the working area welcomed.

Willing to share techniques and tips to workmates including apprentice if one employed.
