Nuriootpa High School was established in 1935 and is a public high school with a student population of over 1300 students (years 7 to 12). We are located in Nuriootpa, a township within the Barossa Valley region in the state of South Australia. The Barossa Valley is one of Australia's most significant wine regions. The school services the broad Barossa Valley region from towns such as Dutton and Truro in the north, Moculta, Keyneton and Eden Valley in the east, Rosedale and Greenock in the west, Nuriootpa, Angaston and Tanunda in the centre and Lyndoch and Cockatoo Valley in the south. We have a long history of successful achievement in all areas of learning and in a range of extra-curricular activities including sports, music, drama and agriculture. A strength of the school is the breadth and depth of its curriculum and the availability of a wide range of extra-curricular activities that cater for the interests and needs of students.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Special Education teacher who will provide support for students with diverse and additional learning needs.
What you will do:
Develop and implement engagement and behaviour management strategies and processes, promote, and share with school and Partnership personnel, parents/caregivers and other agencies involved in supporting the students.
Document program objectives, collect and analyse data of student outcomes to report to site leadership, parents/caregivers, services, and agencies.
Implement strategies and recommendations as described in report documentation from government and non-government service providers.

Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant field.
Current registration as a teacher with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
Proven experience teaching secondary school students, preferably within a public-school setting.
