The Opportunity

This prestigious offshore education project is part of a long-standing Offshore VET Teacher Program. In the Director of Studies role, you’ll lead a team of dedicated educators, manage English Language program delivery, and ensure alignment with Australian VET standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the English Language teaching team

Oversee delivery of accredited qualifications (Cert I–III ESOL)

Ensure program compliance and delivery excellence

Liaise with Chinese education stakeholders and partners

Deliver up to 35 hours per week (teaching, admin & student support)

Support learning progression and student outcomes

Qualifications Delivered

Certificate I in Fundamental English for Speakers of Other Languages

Certificate II in Routine English for Speakers of Other Languages

Certificate III in Advanced English for Further Study

What You’ll Bring

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent)

A relevant English Language Teaching qualification at AQF Level 8 or higher (e.g., Graduate Certificate or Diploma in TESOL or Applied Linguistics)

Please note: 6-month online courses or qualifications equivalent to UK A-Level, BTEC Nationals, International Baccalaureate, or Advanced Apprenticeships are not considered sufficient

At least one year of full-time postgraduate study in the field (or international equivalent)

Experience in Vocational Education (international/offshore preferred)

Proven classroom teaching and team leadership skills

Strong understanding of VET compliance and curriculum delivery

Current Police Check

Eligibility to work in China (under 60 years of age for visa)
