This is for a Permanent, Fixed Term or Casual appointment at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse to join the team at Hedland Health Campus – Pilbara.
Position Profile
Promotes the health and wellbeing of children, families and specific community groups using a range of health promotion, health surveillance and early intervention strategies that are based on the principles of Primary Health care and service priorities.
To be successful you will have:
- Possession of, or substantial progression towards, the attainment of a Graduate Certificate in Child and Adolescent Health Nursing through and accredited educational institutional.
- Understanding of the Principles of Primary Health Care and its application to practice.
- Effective interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate across a diverse spectrum of the population.
- Knowledge and understanding of cultural issues and social determinants, particularly relating to Aboriginal and culturally linguistically diverse communities in regional areas.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at various locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).
