About the role

1st Care Community Victoria is seeking a Personal Care Worker - Greek speaking to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. This is a casual role, providing personal care and support to our elderly and disabled clients in the local community. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients and helping them to live independently in their own homes.

What you'll be doing

Providing personal care assistance, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting

Helping clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping and other daily living activities

Assisting clients with mobility, including the use of walking aids and wheelchairs

Observing and reporting any changes in the client's physical, mental or emotional wellbeing

Advocating for clients and ensuring their needs are met

Maintaining detailed client records and documentation

Adhering to all organizational policies, procedures and safety protocols

What we're looking for

A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

Experience providing personal care or support to the elderly or people with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

A caring, patient and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable clients

Excellent time management and organizational skills

A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of our clients

Requirements

1. Greek-speaking (Priority)

2. National Police Certificate,

3. COVID and Influenza Vaccination Records.

4. Current vehicle, a Driver's License, and comprehensive car insurance,

5. A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Disability)

6. First Aid and CPR.

7. Minimum 2-year experience in Home Care Services
