About the company

Our client has been servicing clients for the last 30 plus years and are the chosen in their field. They provide expert fire protection and safety service in Western Australia. The services include fire safety training, installation of fire systems, fire system designs, fire block plans, evacuation plans and diagrams. Their teams are fully trained and qualified and experts in ensuring all fire equipment meets all of the Australian Fire Standards.

About the role

The role of the Fire Services Electronic Technician is to coordinate correct fire alarm placement and install, test, and repair systems. You will be responsible to assist a team of Technicians in their roles to help protect individuals and clients from the dangers of fire. This will include designing, installing, maintaining and repairing fire systems within homes and businesses. Reporting to the Director who is hands on in the field and comes with many years' experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities for the role

• Ensure statutory requirements are met and delivered to the highest of standards.
• Effectively set up and co-ordinate teams on each projects and ensure timelines are met.
• Installation of equipment is following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
• Assist and discuss findings and recommendations for the installation and testing of systems.
• Problem solving with repairs and replacing defective parts and carry out works.
• Monitor maintenance of equipment, tools and materials.

Skills & experience

• Electrical Licence and relevant electronic/engineering knowledge and experience
• Strong communication skills, confident with employees, management and client representatives.
• Attention to detail, excellent problem solving abilities, ability to adapt to changes, highly organised and team player.
• Up to date with changes in Legislation and standard codes of practice in the industry.

Essential Requirements:

• Police Clearance (or able to get one)

• White card and drivers licence (manual).
• Due to the nature of the clients and contractual agreements you are required to be fully vaccinated
