Our client is within the financial services industry and expanding their team. They are seeking a qualified finance professional to work as a senior accountant for the Sydney team where your role will include financial control, FP&A and tax.

The senior accountant is responsible for:

Role Overview

• Month-end close process
• Undertaking taxation obligations including GST, Stamp duty etc;
• Play a key role during the year-end audit process providing and managing all year-end audit deliverables
• Drafting year-end financial statements;
• Prepare monthly management reports, statutory and regulatory reports
• Collaborating with other teams in the Group to work on various accounting projects;
• Participate in forecast / budgeting process;
• Liaise and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
• Perform other duties as required

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5 years plus experience ideally within a finance services industry; or Big 4 experience
• Professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACA etc.)
• Able to interact in a professional manner;
• Strong attention to detail and analytic skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed with the willingness to work as part of a high-performance team;
