About the role

Wynplant Mechanical Pty Ltd, a leading provider of heavy plant maintenance and repair services in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide range of heavy machinery including Cat, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, John Deere of our clients' commercial and industrial vehicles.

What you'll be doing

Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled servicing on heavy plant equipment

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults across a diverse fleet

Rebuild and overhaul engines, transmissions, differentials, and other major components

Interpret technical manuals and schematics to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues

Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Collaborate with the wider Wynplant team to deliver exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a relevant automotive trade

2+ years' hands-on experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably within the heavy plant industry.

Strong problem-solving skills to efficiently diagnose and rectify complex faults

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

A positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
