Salary Range:
- SBS Practitioner Core: $66,373.36 – $78,865.70 plus superannuation and salary packaging
- SBS Practitioner Proficient: $83,931.32 – $101,506.73 plus superannuation and salary packaging
Travel within a 30-minute NDIS cap is reimbursed, making this role suitable for candidates living in or around Sunshine/ Yarraville.

Join Yooralla as a Specialist Behaviour Support (SBS) Practitioner and empower people with disabilities through Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with individuals, families, and support teams to understand behaviours of concern and co-design strategies that promote dignity, autonomy, inclusion, and well-being. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based behaviour support plans that are person-centred, trauma-informed, and aligned with each person’s goals and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a clinical caseload within your scope and meet key performance indicators
- Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans tailored to individual needs
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments to inform proactive support strategies
- Monitor and evaluate plans, ensuring ongoing effectiveness
- Engage in professional development to enhance your skills
- Provide supervision (if Proficient) to Core-level practitioners
Mandatory Requirements
A Core or Proficient Practitioner must demonstrate attainment of completed self-assessment and endorsed according to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) PBS Capability Framework as either all domains “capability met” at the Core Level or as “developing” in their competencies and knowledge at the Proficient Level.
- National Police Check & NDIS Worker Screening
- Working with Children Check
- Australian driver’s license & access to a vehicle
- Up-to-date immunisation history
- NDIS Registration as a Core Practitioner with all “capabilities met” or Proficient Practitioner (or eligibility for progression to this level)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Psychology, Social Work, OT, ABA, Disability, Health)
- Current checks & licenses:
- Experience in disability-related fields
- If applicable, full registration as a psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
