BBT Transport is a well-established machine and asphalt cartage company in Western Australia, and services the Roads 2000 fleet providing transportation of machinery along with delivering the laying crews with their product. Established in 2010, BBT has provided these services to a high calibre and is an integral cog to the servicing of clients. BBT Transport operates from a centrally located office in Osborne Park with a well-equipped depot in Wangara.

Job tasks and responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experienced MC, Truck Driver with Float experience for an immediate start. Reporting to the Asset & Logistics Manager and will be responsible for operating the allocated vehicle, chain down and unload machinery, such as Steel rollers, multi rollers, bobcat with attachments, pavers, to the appropriate location, ensuring you work safely at all times, carrying out cleaning and maintenance of vehicles as required and working within a team to deliver a high quality and safe service. Fatigue Management training as well as being safety conscious is essential for this role. The successful candidate must be available for nightshifts, weekend work and overtime.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

As the successful applicant you should have the following experience and attributes:

Three to five years’ experience Float Truck driving

Hold a current WA MC Driver’s License

Hold a White/Blue Card, (valid in WA),

Experience operating a range of trucks, trailers and road ranger gear boxes,

Experience in machine transport or plant equipment,

Fatigue Management and Load Limit training,

Well-developed problem-solving skills,

Strong communication skills,

The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships,

Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol and Pre-Employment Medical and Commercial Driver Medical tests;
