About the role

This is a Line Setter role at a major producer of packaging products, based in Preston, VIC. As a Line Setter, you will be responsible for organising all tasks and understanding production orders, liaising with the warehouse team, and requesting and training staff to meet production plan requirements. This is a casual position, with full-time hours, and the opportunity to go perm in the near future.

What you'll be doing

Run the production line/finishing area safely and efficiently meeting quality standards, and minimise downtime

Make sure all cleaning and shutdown activities are completed

Complete required daily/weekly/monthly safety checks

Report any safety concerns, hazards or incidents to the team leader immediately

Identify and complete continuous improvement activities in your work area

Participate in cycle count and stocktake activities as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Line Setter or Team Leader

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to identify and report hazards

General computer literacy to open and read documents, including MS Teams

Able to read and understand production orders and to communicate this to the crew on the line

Knowledge of products, processes and their relationships
