About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician for our client who is working on heavy-duty mining and industrial equipment from our Unanderra workshop - no site travel required.

This hands-on role focuses on the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and components for large-scale equipment used in mining and heavy industries. You'll be based at our premises, working in a clean, organised, and safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Installation & Assembly
  Install wiring systems, electrical components, and switchboards in new or refurbished mining equipment.
• Testing & Diagnostics
  Conduct fault finding and diagnostic testing on industrial equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal performance.
• Maintenance & Repairs
  Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and electrical repairs on mining and industrial machinery.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance
  Ensure all work meets electrical codes and safety standards; maintain accurate documentation for compliance and audits.
• Workshop Support
  Work collaboratively with fitters, fabricators, and mechanical teams to deliver fully operational equipment to client specifications.

Skills & Qualifications

• Trade qualified and licensed Electrician (valid Electrical Licence required)
• Experience with heavy industrial or mining-related equipment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Familiarity with control systems, switchboards, motors, and PLCs
• Excellent attention to detail and safety-first mindset
