You will be working alongside John Saint, who is possibly the most awarded truck salesman in rural Australia. John has had an extensive career in truck sales and will guide, train and mentor you in the art of selling, negotiations and customer satisfaction.

You will learn the detailed specifications of our four brands that range from 4500 kg GVM rigids to 180 tonne + GCM prime movers and will work with some of the most experienced body builders and suppliers in Eastern Australia.

This position will need to be viewed as a 4 year minimum commitment with the opportunity afterwards to progress further within our business.

In this role, you will participate in the following :

Learning all aspects of selling – The Art of Sales

Learning technical knowledge and sales skills

Customer focus – The Road to Customer Satisfaction

Assisting the sales team with administration and delivery of new trucks

Handover and Driver Induction of new trucks

Assisting the Pre Delivery Department with delivery schedules

Complete required documentation, using our various methods of reporting

Key responsibilities will include:

Monitoring high-quality workmanship in our Pre Delivery Department

Willingness to continually learn and develop with product changes

Providing an outstanding level of customer service

Our Growth:

J T Fossey has been involved in the Heavy Transport business for almost 55 years. It all began when Ford Louisville came to Australia in 1975. In 1982 UD came to Australia and J T Fossey were given the opportunity to also promote this relatively small company, of a high standard Japanese Truck. In 1995 Mitsubishi came on board which increased our model availability. In 2000 we welcomed Volvo Trucks to our already impressive lineup. This gave us a cab over prime mover and the ability to engineer specialized built trucks in the factory in Brisbane. In 2008 we were delighted to become the Mack Truck Dealer. This was evident due to our organization already having the Volvo franchise and further cemented with having UD, as Volvo owned the 3 products. Volvo and Mack Trucks are built in the manufacturing facility in Brisbane QLD - authentically Australian made.

Our Dealership:

Located at 30 Dampier Street, Tamworth, we have a 3 points of access which is easily negotiable by B Double truck and trailers. Our yard consists of large area’s of concrete and graveled areas for parking and storing new and customer trucks and trailers. The building consists of Sales, Parts and Service offices with a large Parts warehouse and showroom which includes a customer area to watch TV and have a coffee. Our workshop has 6 full length drive through bays, Our wheel alignment bay and 2 Pre delivery bays. In addition we have a wash bay, tool and oil stores. Our service pit bay has a comprehensive oil delivery system that makes servicing easy and precise. Being situated on the New England Highway and half way between Sydney and Brisbane see’s us being a strategic Dealership for many Transport operations.

Our normal hours of operation are from 7.00am til 5.30pm, with staff members regularly here before and after those hours, helping our customers to complete their business obligations.
