Torque Power Diesel (Australia) Pty Ltd – trading as Torquepower - requires the services of experienced Senior Storepersons for its Archerfield location.

Torquepower is a leading supplier of spare parts and related products to all sectors of the Cummins powered heavy duty diesel engine market and holds the largest independent inventory of competitively priced Genuine and aftermarket Cummins parts in the South Pacific region. This broad inventory coverage is complemented by an in-house re-manufacturing capability for major assemblies and a unique and fully integrated online shopping resource.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager the successful applicants will have proven backgrounds in similar roles or alternatively, will present compelling evidence supporting their individual suitability for one of the positions currently on offer.

Your responsibilities will include the receiving of and picking, packing and dispatching of goods and their movements into and out of the warehouse spaces. You will liaise directly with carriers both inwards and outwards including making bookings and enquiries as may be necessary. The function further requires participation in rolling stock checks and stock take events as directed by the Warehouse Manager and as per industry best practice.

As a Senior team member, you may be tasked with providing support for the Warehouse Manager as may be required including fulfilling the essential parts of his role during his absences.

The Role’s Key Duties include:

• Put our customers first.
• Liaise with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all warehouse activities
• Participate in all key warehouse functions.
• Support and direct junior staff members as necessary.
• Ensure joint housekeeping of the warehouse areas
• Work safely and always observe WHS Policies.
• Work closely and effectively with your other departmental colleagues to collectively get the best outcome for the enterprise.
• Focus on freight and ensure that you are always on top of the task and can answer questions from stakeholders promptly and accurately.

To be a successful applicant you MUST Have:

Skills commensurate with the scope of the role as described, including:

• Warehouse experience (3 years preferred) in a similar role.
• Commitment to the role
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset to continuously improve warehouse operations
• Leadership qualities
• Ability to multitask and complete deadlines and manage priorities.
• Accurate and timely data entry skills.
• Current manual car Drivers Licence
• Current Forklift Licence
• Experience using Walkie Stacker
• Experience with transport online booking systems

Our generous hourly rate will be presented to you based on the experience and qualities that you bring to the interview and to the role itself. We are looking for someone special for each position. Annual remuneration subject to experience should be expected to between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum plus superannuation plus overtime where available.
