About Bialik College

Bialik College is a cross-communal Jewish Zionist school, embracing an inclusive approach to Judaism. All students attend one campus in Hawthorn, creating a close-knit community of students and learners from as young as three months old in our Children’s Centre, three years old in the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12 in the Senior School. The Position

This position involves delivering Jewish Studies and Humanities lessons across the Middle & Secondary School on a fixed term, part-time basis (0.7 FTE - 0.8 FTE) for Term 3, 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and deliver innovative and engaging Jewish Studies and Humanities lessons for Secondary students

Cater for individual learning needs within the classroom

Work collaboratively with the Jewish Studies/Humanities staff to deliver curriculum

Assess, evaluate and report on student progress

Ensure smooth handover with teacher on leave prior to commencement and on conclusion

Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy and the qualities of life-long learning

Contribute to the broader Jewish life of the College through involvement in festivals, special events and informal-education programs

Create a culture of learning within the classroom

The Person
