Your Role as an AMEP/English Language Teacher

Deliver practical, engaging English lessons tailored to adult migrants and learners

Use flexible, learner-centred approaches suited to mixed-level and CALD groups

Support students’ settlement goals through language, literacy, and community confidence

Contribute to lesson planning and meet basic program requirements and reporting

What You’ll Bring

A postgraduate TESOL qualification with a teaching practicum is required for these roles. Certificate IV TESOL or CELTA alone does not meet eligibility criteria

An undergraduate degree

Experience teaching adults in AMEP, ELICOS, community, or settlement programs

A strong commitment to inclusive, outcome-driven learning

TAE is desirable but not essential for most roles
