Fort Knox Self Storage is seeking an exceptional Accounts Payable Officer to join and support our finance team in tour Hawthron office. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. This role supports the smooth financial operation of the business by maintaining strong relationships with vendors, reconciling accounts, and upholding compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Execute accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions and invoices into accounts payable software.
Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, refunds and payment requests, including GST with monthly payable reports.
Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
Preparing monthly expense statements and financial reports.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain supplier and third-party relationships and queries.
Manage accounts inbox for internal teams, external partners and suppliers maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour.
Assist with month-end closing and reporting as required.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and financial controls.
Handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion and always maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Collaborate with other support staff to ensure smooth operations and maintain a cohesive work environment.
Support finance projects and assist with audits and other adhoc tasks when required.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while liaising effectively with internal departments and external suppliers.
Accounts Payable Experience – you will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and AP processes, experience with Workday accounting software is highly desirable
Strong data entry skills – Excellent data entry accuracy. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Problem Solving – Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
Organized – Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Team Player – With the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications – A certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred, but not essential – relevant experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
