Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. This full-time position requires a professional capable of providing clinical expertise and culturally sensitive customer care in a multilingual environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription and non-prescription medicines accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Provide pharmaceutical advice that accommodates the cultural and linguistic needs of the local community.

• Interpret prescriptions, check for accuracy, and ensure safety and appropriateness of dispensed medication.

• Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions, using language and approaches suited to their background.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with professional standards.

• Supervise pharmacy assistants and interns and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

• Manage stock levels and ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy and current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a community pharmacy setting.

• Sound understanding of PBS, Schedule 8 medications, and Australian regulatory frameworks.

• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience with pharmacy software such as Fred Dispense.

• Proficiency in Chinese languages and Vietnamese is highly desirable.

• Availability to work on weekends and public holidays if required.

• Community engagement experience in CALD health promotion is a plus.
