About Us:

Charles Sturt Campus Services (CSCS) is a controlled entity of Charles Sturt University and employs over 200 staff. CSCS provide services to universities and other commercial businesses. We operate in regional locations across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory including Albury, Bathurst, Canberra, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie, and Wagga Wagga. CSCS is engaged to provide a range of services. These include cleaning of office, research, teaching, recreational and residential spaces, a laundry service, mail delivery, event preparation, testing and tagging services and maintenance services. The Charles Sturt Campus Services team ensures that facilities are clean, safe, and conducive to an outstanding client, student and staff experience.

We are currently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our cleaning team at the Wagga Campus and external locations.

Our pay rates are:

Permanent Part Time: $30.51 per hour

Fulltime- $26.51 per hour

Casual: $33.16 per hour

Available positions (working Monday- Friday)

PPT- 5am-8am = 15 hours per week

PPT- 5am- 9am = 20 hours per week

FT- working 5am- 1:06pm = 38 hours per week.

Casual- ADHOC hours

Key Responsibilities:

Perform cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing designated areas.

Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, offices, classrooms, corridors, and other campus facilities.

Ensure all cleaning tasks meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Report maintenance issues or damages to the relevant authorities.

Follow all safety procedures and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Maintain an efficient and organized cleaning cart and equipment.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Current drivers’ licence.

Experience or knowledge in general commercial cleaning.

Knowledge in Work Health & Safety compliance and legislation.

Experience or knowledge in using various cleaning equipment (commercial and industrial).

Experience or knowledge in the safe use of chemicals and manual handling procedures

A record of excellent work ethics (i.e., pride in work, reliable, well presented, punctual)

Ability to work effectively and efficiently both within a team and unsupervised.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to safe working practices.

Ability to work early morning (5am starts)

Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance programs

Demonstrated commitment to a team-based work ethic and staff engagement

Commitment to training and education as required to maintain and improve knowledge and skills pertinent to role

National Criminal History Check. (Valid within the last six weeks)

Current Working with Children Check for paid work NSW (WWCC)
