Our Role

We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Full-time Maintenance Tradesperson to join our Attunga Lime and Limestone Plant, located 15 minutes’ drive north of Tamworth (220 Garthowen Road, Attunga NSW). Reporting to the Maintenance Leading Hand, you will assist in the regular maintenance, modification, repair and unscheduled breakdown rectification services for the processing fixed plant and equipment.

This position will require you to:

• Complete scheduled mechanical maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
• Replace, fabricate and machine components on plant and equipment in line with planned maintenance schedule or to rectify faults or recover from breakdown.
• Recommend and undertake improvement projects on plant and machinery.
• Complete condition monitoring and inspections of fixed plant and mobile equipment.

Ordinarily this will be a day shift Monday to Friday role however you will be required to work on some weekends and will be available to attend unplanned breakdowns, whereby overtime will be applicable.

To be the successful candidate, you need to will have:

• A trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Metal Fabricator with good mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with repairing crushing, screening, milling, kiln and hydrator equipment would be highly regarded but not essential.
• Sound welding, fabrication and/or machining skills would be highly regarded but not essential.
• A current driver’s license and ability to drive manual vehicles.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and who can work self-sufficiently to generate positive outcomes.
• Ability to balance and deliver on team and personal objectives in a safe and efficient manner following safe work practices.
• Computer literacy and attention to detail in your work.
• A willingness to learn new skills.
