An iconic Financial Services provider is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer with strong Python, Ansible and Terraform skills to join their team on a permanent basis.

Joining a large, stable networking security operations team, you will contribute towards the team's expanding network automation efforts. You will be responsible for data discovery and analysis, as well as writing complex Python scripts and playbooks to automate mass network modifications.

You will bring a technical background in network security (F5, firewalls etc) combined with advanced Python scripting skills, an ability to create CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins / GitHub Actions and using version control tools (Github, Bitbucket etc).

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
• Proven network automation experience gained within large, enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of core networking (BGP, OSPF etc) and network security infrastructure such as firewalls (Juniper SRCX, Fortinet, Checkpoint or Palo Alto) and load balancers (F5)
• Advanced Python scripting skills
• Proven experience creating CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins
• Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work independently as required

This is a Sydney-based role and you will be required to be in the office at least two - three days per week.
