Workfast is seeking experienced Boilermakers for an 8-week installation project based at Newcastle Airport. This role involves working on the setup and installation of mechanical and structural components for a new system upgrade.

• Location: Newcastle Airport
• Shift Times: 6am to 4pm
• Pay Rate: $52 per hour + OT and Super

What You Get:

• $52 per hour base rate + overtime + superannuation
• Daily travel and meal allowances
• Consistent 10-hour shifts (6:00am to 4:00pm), Monday to Friday

What You Will Be Doing

• Installation of carousel conveyor systems and associated mechanical components
• Fabrication and on-site welding (MIG/TIG) of steel structures and support brackets
• Mechanical fitting and assembly of conveyor frames, drives, and rollers
• Reading and interpreting detailed mechanical and layout drawings
• Assisting with system commissioning and operational testing
• Maintaining safety, accuracy, and high-quality workmanship throughout the project

What You Need

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Boilermaker trade qualification)
• Own welder (beneficial)
• Experience with mechanical/conveyor system installation preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Own tools and full PPE
• Driver’s licence and reliable transport
