We are seeking a passionate Work Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
Ramsay Health Care is Australia’s largest private hospital operator, with more than 70 modern hospitals, clinics and surgical centres across the country.
We are seeking a passionate WHS Coordinator to join our team, supporting the National Safety Team at a facility level.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across two unique facilities, splitting your time across Nambour Selangor Private Hospital and Noosa Private Hospital.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As the WHS Coordinator, you’ll take the lead on WHS across your facilities, working closely with the National Safety Team and the facility Executive Team to foster a strong, proactive safety culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Embedding and maintaining the Ramsay safety management system, templates, and documentation.
- Investigating incidents and implementing solutions to minimise future risks.
- Conducting risk assessments, site audits, and workplace safety training.
- Developing and maintaining effective safety practices.
- Preparing and presenting safety performance reports for internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS (Minimum of a Cert IV in WHS).
- Experience in Work Health and Safety, preferably within the health industry or a large organisation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels.
- A proactive and highly organised approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent planning, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Full Australian work rights, a current Police Check & proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
What You’ll Be Paid:
This is a permanent full-time position reporting directly to the QLD Safety Manager.
We offer a base annual salary of $110k - $115k + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
