Lorhiti Apartments is situated on unique Lord Howe Island. It consists of 5 self-contained holiday apartments with large grounds and gardens. We strive to give our guests the best experience and make their stay comfortable. Our personalised airport transfer to our holiday apartments is the perfect way to get to know our guests and welcome them to the island. We pride ourselves on our beautiful grounds, exceptionally clean rooms and getting to know our guests during their stay. This is reflected in our TripAdvisor reviews and regular guests comments. Lorhiti Apartments stays open year round, through the winter - low season and through the summer - high season.

Qualifications & experience

Tasks & responsibilities

Housekeeping and laundry

Guest airport and restaurant transfers

General handyman repairs and maintenance/labouring.

Lawn and garden maintenance

Greet arriving guests and guest relations

The housekeeper position averages 36hrs per week. Work days vary each week depending on guest arrivals/departures. A roster is provided in advance to indicate upcoming work days. Occasionally there are flight disruptions due to weather etc which will change the roster at short notice. The work required is housekeeping, servicing the apartments, laundry & restaurant/airport transfers. You will be employed as a full-time employee.

The groundskeeper position averages 20-25hrs per week. Jobs include but not limited to: lawns, gardening & pesticides, repairs & maintenance, construction labouring, garbage disposal, restaurant/airport transfers. You will also assist housekeeping and servicing the apartments on occasion. A roster is provided in advance to indicate upcoming work days. If needed, we can assist you finding additional work on the island outside of Lorhiti as we understand the groundskeeper hours may not be sufficient. This work must not interfere with our Lorhiti roster.

You will be working alongside the owners and be under their guidance and supervision. You will be required to step into a managerial roll if the owners are on leave.

We will only consider applicants who can provide employment at Lorhiti Apartments until at least July 2026. We would appreciate long term employee’s 1year +. Please only apply if you are interested these dates of employment.
