Full Stack PHP Developer – 12-Month Contract (Day Rate)
Location: Sydney (Hybrid – 3 days in-office, Sydney CBD)
Contract: 12 Months
Rate: $1000-$1200 per day + GST

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack PHP Developer to join a high-performing team on a 12-month contract. This is a great opportunity to work on a mission-critical platform utilising modern technologies in a collaborative and agile environment.
You’ll be working across both the backend and frontend, with the backend built in PHP8 using a custom MVP framework. On the front end, the project uses Knockout.js, but developers with solid JavaScript experience (React or similar) are encouraged to apply—as long as you're confident in a 50/50 full-stack role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable backend services in PHP8
• Contribute to frontend development with Knockout.js, React, or similar
• Write robust unit and integration tests using PHPUnit, Playwright, or Karate
• Participate fully in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Collaborate with the team using Jira and Confluence

Key Requirements:

• Strong PHP development experience, ideally with PHP8
• Solid JavaScript experience—preferably Knockout.js, but React or other frameworks are also considered
• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks and practices
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and the SDLC
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Awareness of secure coding practices or platforms like Secure Code Warrior
