Protech are currently looking for a highly experienced Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator to perform work with our client, located in the Pilbara, on a 2/2 FIFO Basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• $85 Per Hour
• 2/2 Roster (Days only)
• 3-6 Month contract with potential for extension
• Weekly Pay

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to operate and maintain water treatment facilities
• Strong understanding of water quality management plans, critical control points, and the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG)
• Capable of performing both routine and reactive maintenance
• Skilled in diagnosing and troubleshooting process-related issues
• Ability to manage plant inventories, including supporting asset register updates and lifecycle planning
• Experience preparing activity logs and work order reports
• Effective communication skills, particularly with site operations teams
• Willingness to assist with general site tasks such as pipe installations, repairs, and upgrade works

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Certificate III or IV in Water Treatment or extensive experience (mandatory)
• Mechanical trade qualification (highly regarded)
• Proven experience with chemical dosing and applications
• Hands-on experience with RO (Reverse Osmosis), UF (Ultrafiltration), and NF (Nanofiltration) systems
• Previous experience with a Water Authority or Utility (highly desirable)
• Minimum of 5 years’ operational experience in water treatment
• Minimum Year 12 pass in 2-unit mathematics or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s Licence (Minimum C Manual)
• Be able to obtain a National Police Clearance
• Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical & Drug & alcohol
• Reference Checks to confirm experience for the role
