The Role:

We are seeking a casual Storeman/Delivery Driver with the possibility of transitioning to a full time permanent position. Daily tasks and key responsilibites include:

Receiving and checking goods:

Unload incoming goods from trucks or delivery vehicles.

Inspect deliveries to ensure that items are correct, undamaged, and meet quality standards.

Verify goods against delivery notes, invoices, and purchase orders.

Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the relevant department or supplier.

Stock handling and storage:

Organise products in a manner that ensures easy access and minimizes the risk of damage.

Monitor stock levels, quarterly stock takes, manage all stock movements, accurate records of inventory.

Ensure that storage areas are maintained in a safe and organized condition.

Deliveries:

Collate job specific materials for each project from the "Bill of Materials".

Ensure all required materials are onsite prior to project start.

Pick up and deliver materials from various suppliers.

Housekeeping and Maintenance:

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards.

Ensure that goods are stored in compliance with relevant regulatory and safety guidelines.

Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.

Skills and Personal attributes

Previous experience in a warehouse or stock handling environment is preferred, but not required.

Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallets jacks, or similar machinery (licensing/certifications may be required).

Basic computer skills for entering data into inventory management systems.

Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.

Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Strong work ethic and reliability.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Flexible and adaptable to changes in work conditions or requirements.

Positive attitude with a focus on quality and safety.

Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate.

Qualifications:

A valid Forklift license (if applicable).

A current driver’s license (if applicable).

Health & Safety training (desirable).
