Position: Joinery Draftsperson

Location: Work from our Canberra-based production facility only.

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role: As a Joinery Draftsperson at Lifestyle Joinery, you will be an integral part of our production process, focused on translating technical drawings into precise joinery plans. Working closely with our production team, your primary responsibility will be to create detailed joinery drawings and plans using IMOS IX software. While experience with IMOS IX is preferred, proficiency in other software such as Microvellum, Top Solid, or Pytha will also be considered. A strong understanding and experience in commercial joinery is a must have.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize IMOS IX software (or similar) to create accurate and detailed joinery drawings.

Interpret technical drawings and translate them into comprehensive joinery plans.

Generate cutting lists, material schedules, and other documentation necessary for production.

Collaborate with production staff to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and standards.

Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

Proficiency in joinery drafting software such as IMOS IX, Microvellum, Top Solid, or Pytha.

Strong knowledge and experience in commercial joinery.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into practical joinery solutions.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Prior experience in a production-based role within the joinery or woodworking industry is advantageous but not essential.

Experience with Homag Woodwop and Cutrite Software an advantage
