Founded in 2025, Axis Imaging is Melbourne's newest radiology clinic, built from the ground up by experienced healthcare professionals with one clear goal: putting patients first. Located in Melbourne's north, we're a family-owned practice that combines cutting-edge imaging technology with genuine, compassionate care.

Our small but ambitious team is committed to over-delivering at every step. To help drive our vision, we're looking for a Radiographer who wants to make an impact beyond the scans, and help build lasting change in an industry that needs it.

The Difference You'll Make

Axis Imaging is looking for a Radiographer who's ready to do more than just deliver great images — we're looking for someone who wants to help set a new standard for how patients experience care.

In this role, you'll be a key part of our small, hands-on team — working closely with our radiologists, practice leadership, referrers, and admin team to create a seamless, supportive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. You'll help define how we care, how we communicate, and how we raise expectations for what a radiology clinic can be.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate beyond clinical work — contributing ideas to improve workflows, championing better patient education and support, and shaping the culture and systems we are building from scratch.

A Typical Day

Deliver high-quality X-ray and/or CT imaging, always putting patient comfort, dignity, and safety first.

Help patients feel at ease before, during, and after their imaging — taking the time to explain procedures and answer questions clearly.

Collaborate closely with radiologists, referrers, and the admin team to create a seamless and supportive experience for patients.

Provide feedback and ideas to improve clinic workflows, patient communication, and service quality — we are building our systems with you, not for you.

Actively contribute to building strong relationships with referrers by ensuring excellent service, timely imaging, and professional communication.

Maintain attention to detail in scan protocols, quality assurance, and reporting handovers to ensure consistent, excellent outcomes.

Participate in ongoing improvements around patient experience, safety protocols, technology upgrades, and team culture.

Uphold a warm, welcoming environment where patients and staff feel respected, valued, and heard.

Take initiative to solve challenges that arise — with the support of a team that trusts you to have a voice and impact.

Your Expertise

Current registration with AHPRA as a Radiographer.

Strong technical skills in X-ray and/or CT imaging, with a commitment to patient safety, comfort, and accuracy.

A natural communicator — you know how to make patients feel informed, respected, and at ease.

Deep understanding of imaging best practices, radiation safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Ability to think both clinically and practically — balancing precision with a warm, patient-first experience.

Comfortable working in a fast-evolving environment where your ideas and feedback are not just welcomed, but needed.

Experience collaborating with doctors, referrers, and admin teams to create smooth, connected care journeys.

Strong attention to detail, with pride in delivering consistently high-quality scans and service.

What We Offer

Competitive salary: $60 - 65 per hour + superannuation (salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

Permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday during standard business hours
