About the Role

We are currently seeking Trades Assistant / General Labourers to join our workforce at Cairncross Dockyard Brisbane.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on role suited to individuals who are safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable working in industrial environments.

What’s on offer:

Regular day shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Weekend & overtime work available (penalty rates apply)

Opportunities to operate forklifts, EWP’s, Scissor lifts (if ticketed)

All training provided, with upskilling opportunities

Pay rate from $32 to $35, depending on skills, licences and experience.

Long term, stable employment.

Duties & Responsibilities

General labour duties: shovelling, sweeping, manual handling, set up tradesman and assist.

Use of hand tools Grinders, Drills, basic site cleaning and maintenance

Cleaning and maintaining machinery and tools

Material prep.

Working in confined spaces and at heights (if certified)

Following all safety protocols

Supporting shutdown operations and site housekeeping

Arriving on time, ready to work with the attitude to match

About You

Experience in labouring (TA to Boilermakers, or construction)

Forklift (desirable)

Confined space entry and working at heights tickets (advantageous)

Strong understanding of workplace safety and Construction White card

Physically fit and capable of manual work

Able to work independently and in a team

Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills

Positive, reliable, and safety-first mindset
