About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide clinical services to patients and clients attending the General Surgery Department. Take responsibility for overall management of patients in the preoperative and post operative recovery units as well as the Ward providing information to consultants and those of other specialities; implement decisions of senior medical staff for patient care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Maintain appropriate liaison with nursing staff and allied health personnel.
- Develop improved proficiency in the theoretical and clinical aspects of the field and research activities of the program and refining the knowledge of social and ethical behaviour required of a specialist practitioner. Assist in the teaching of junior medical staff, medical students and other health professionals.
- The appointee will be required to participate in rostered overtime, late shifts, weekends and public holidays.
