We are seeking a motivated General Labourer to join a busy steel fabrication and manufacturing workshop in Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a team that delivers high-quality structural steel, custom bolts, foundation cages, and concrete connection products for major infrastructure and construction projects.

Pay Rate: $33 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm; Friday, 7:00am - 1:00pm
Potential overtime available each day and occasional Saturdays

About the Role:

• Assist with a variety of manual tasks including loading and unloading materials, moving steel components, and supporting tradespeople with fabrication, machining, and assembly work
• Operate and monitor machines for cutting, bending, and shaping steel, including plate and structural steel rolling and bending machines
• Use power tools and hand tools for measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembly tasks
• Assemble products by putting together nuts, bolts, and other fasteners as required
• Prepare job sites and equipment for daily operations
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all safety procedures and using required PPE
• Support the production of steel fabrication, bolt manufacturing, foundation cages, and concrete connection products
• Contribute to processing services, including cutting, bending, and welding as required

What We're Looking For:

• Good physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors and tradespeople
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Ability to work safely and follow instructions
• Previous experience in a workshop, construction, or manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential
