SAMAT Carpentry and Construction are on the lookout for motivated Carpenters/Framers/Sheeters to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis, working with a focus on 1st fix construction.

Duties & responsibilities:

Read plans and sketches to understand project specifications

Measure, cut, and shape timber/steel and other materials to fit specified dimensions

Carry out first fix carpentry tasks such as erecting steel roof trusses and steel wall frames

Battening out and application of roof sheeting and cladding materials

Install skirting boards and perform window and door/door frame/jamb installations

Tasks may vary based on the experience level of the applicant

Experience & attributes:

Cert 3 in Carpentry or proven equivalent experience

Current drivers license & access to a car

Comfortability working with a team as well as alone

Keen attention to detail and specification

Bring your best self to work

Strong work ethic to get the job done right

Less experienced applicants with solid references can be given additional training
