SBC is a leading provider of web-based enterprise solutions for Work Health and Safety, Injury Management, Insurance, Risk Management and Case Management Systems in Australia. We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our Brisbane office. SBC has offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Auckland with clients throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. We also operate two data centres in Australia.

SBC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Network Team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in providing essential design, installation, support and maintenance for our core physical IT infrastructure across a range of project initiatives and operational requirements.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, your main focus will be bringing your strong skillset in Linux, Microsoft, Fortinet and VMWare to contribute significant value to our organisation's extensive project portfolio.

This position requires a hands-on proactive individual. Candidates should possess strong organisational skills, a client focused outlook, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, as well as necessary technical skills.

Key Selection Criteria:

Experience with managing virtualised infrastructure including data centres with Linux, Windows, Veeam, Proxmox and VMware experience, you will also be involved in day to day management of the network and technical environments to ensure they meet client and internal business needs.

Plan, document and implement network changes within SBC's Data Centres.

Experience with hardened server installations and configurations.

Experienced with deploying and managing server operating systems (Windows Server, Suse and Oracle Linux).

Implementation of asset rollout to the SBC staff for our clients.

Experienced in Firewall Networking, and Enterprise NAS solutions.

Knowledge in the administration of monitoring solutions such as Nagios and Manage Engine.

Troubleshooting for incidents velated to our server and desktop infrastructure

Experienced in managing patch deployment automation.

Experienced in managing Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS and firewalls.

Assist with conducting regular security and vulnerability audits for our managed server environments.

Any experience with HPE and Fortinet environments would be advantageous.

Coordinating, liaising and working with internal project teams and our 3rd party vendors as required.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

SQL Server administration experience highly desirable.
