About the Role
Elepay is a well-established private lender with a strong brand presence across Australia. Known for our commitment to compliance, systems excellence, and customer care, we provide specialist lending solutions that empower property owners to unlock new opportunities.

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Debt Collections Officer to join our team. Working closely with the executive team, you will play a vital role in managing both commercial and consumer loan accounts (secured and unsecured), ensuring the timely recovery of funds while maintaining a respectful and solutions-focused approach with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Contacting customers to discuss overdue accounts via phone and email

Negotiating and managing suitable repayment arrangements

Escalating accounts in default according to internal policies and procedures

Assessing risk levels across varying account types and taking appropriate action

Maintaining accurate records of communication and payment plans

Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, privacy, and internal policy obligations

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support resolution of complex cases

Supporting a culture of ethical collections and continuous process improvement

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in debt collection, credit control, or a related role

Strong understanding of both consumer and commercial lending

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in negotiating outcomes

High attention to detail with strong record-keeping and documentation abilities

Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance within the financial services sector

Proven ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Ethical, professional, and customer-centric approach to collections

Work Hours & Location
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Brisbane.
Standard hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
