Are you someone who gets it—who knows that a clean home, a warm meal, and a friendly chat can mean the world to an older person?

DANS In Home Care is on the lookout for compassionate, capable, and all-around amazing Domestic Assistants / Support Workers to help our clients live with dignity, comfort, and independence in their own homes.

WHO YOU’LL BE HELPING:
Older Australians in our community who need a hand with the everyday things—so they can stay in their homes, stay safe, and stay connected. You’ll be providing real support and meaningful company to those who’ve paved the way for the rest of us.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
According to each client’s needs, you’ll provide support that might include:

General home cleaning (floors, bathrooms, surfaces)

Making beds and changing linens

Laundry and ironing

Grocery shopping (unaccompanied & accompanied)

Cooking simple, nourishing meals

Providing transport to appointments or outings

Companionship and respite (in-home or out-of-home)

Supporting personal dignity and independence with every visit

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
You’re not just ticking boxes—you’re changing lives. But yes, there are boxes too:

Honesty, empathy, and strong communication skills

First Aid/CPR Certificate

Current Driver’s Licence & own vehicle (with rego!)

Smartphone with app capability

Police Check

Respect for all cultures, beliefs, and identities

Ability to work independently—and with heart

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

3+ years working in aged care or community support

Experience with domestic tasks in a care setting

Manual handling & infection control training

A gentle, respectful approach to aging and independence

TRAINING & SUPPORT:
We’ve got a solid onboarding and training program ready for you. It’s mandatory, but don’t worry—we’ll support you through every step. Ongoing training is part of the gig, because caring never stops growing.
