Programmed Energy & Resources are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Mechanical Fitters to join our Tier 1 client in the Pilbara in this exciting new opportunity.

Job description:

Working in a team of mechanical maintainers, you will be responsible for the carrying out of preventive, reactive and planned maintenance tasks to support plant availability in the field.

Roster: Lifestyle Roster Days / Nights.

Hourly Rate: $74ph

**This position will initially be FIFO ex-Perth for a trial period and then require assisted relocation to Newman.**

In this role you will:

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development

- Maintain a prominent role in promoting safe working conditions and practices to ensure a secure work environment

- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommend appropriate follow-up actions

- Repair and service fixed plant equipment, respond to breakdowns, and ensure plant availability

- Collaborate effectively to diagnose equipment faults during breakdown situations

- Complete all job-related activities comprehensively, including pre-work tasks, preparation of Job Hazard Analyses, organizing materials, executing tasks, testing, and task completion

- Uphold operational discipline in 1SAP Work Management practices, including raising notifications and executing Work Orders in both planned and unplanned situations

Qualifications and Experience:

- Australian-recognized Mechanical Trade qualification with experience in Fixed Plant - essential

- Minimum C Class Driver's License - essential

- Willingness and ability to relocate to Newman after a successful trial period

- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to safe work systems

- Experience with hydraulics is desirable

- Previous experience in Plant maintenance roles is preferred

- Familiarity with 1SAP or similar systems is highly advantageous but not required

- Ability to adapt and work effectively in planned or breakdown maintenance environments

- Proactive approach with a strong belief in the value of maintenance for an organization

- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively

- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently when necessary
