About us

We are a family run small animal independent Veterinary Practice. We have been established for over 10 years, and under the current ownership for the last 8 years. We see a wide variety of cases, we have the usual toys: digital xray, ultrasound, in house laboratory, Rx Works software system, separate cat and dog wards and much more.

There is no after hours or Sunday work, and we are open 8-6pm weekdays and 8-midday on Saturdays. We are also closed on public holidays.

Qualifications & experience

Cert 4 qualification in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).

Ideally a few years experience in the industry.

We are semi -rural so there may well be occasional chickens as well as your usual dogs, cats and pocket pets

Tasks & responsibilities

Assist our other qualified nurse with nurse consults, these can be expanded and tailored to your individual interests.

Mentoring, working alongside and training our TAFE trainee Veterinary Nurses

Assisting the Vets with anaesthesia. surgery, radiographs, ultrasounds, dentals.

Placing iv catheters, taking and running blood samples and other lab work.

There will also be shared reception duties, as well as assisting the Vets in consults.

Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.

This is a part-time role and we can discuss at interview how this would best suit yourself and us. It could be one day a week, several half days, include Saturday mornings or just be for holiday cover.
