About the Apprenticeship:

Apprentices aid the skilled staff members in building high-end domestic and commercial swimming pools and landscapes. Successful completion and participation in the apprenticeship on offer, will result in the participant becoming a skilled tradesperson……. If you think this what you want to do and become? – Read on!

In undertaking an apprenticeship in Landscape and Construction, you will obtain the skills to understand the concept of planning, preparing worksite, and conducting works, using a range of materials. Emphasis on occupational health and safety, environmental concerns, sustainable practices, quality control and industry standards are all attributes, which you will be expected to achieve.

You will also learn and get training in all aspects of the trade, including but not limited to, all aspects of construction work, excavator and machinery use, paving, tiling, steel fixing, plumbing and equipment installation.

We are looking for either Junior or Adult apprentices, however you must be 18 years or over, have a current drivers licence and reliable motor vehicle.

About the Role

You will be working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week , 7am to 3pm. You get paid for 40 hours on site, which means you are paid for your lunch break.

Adult Apprenticeships are paid above Award wage at $25- $27.50 per hour and increase with indexed pay increases, plus overtime with supplement payments to cover school fees.

If you are recommencing an apprenticeship, you could be eligible for a higher rate of pay, based on experience in the industry.

(Underage apprentices will get paid mature age apprentice rates)

Attend Trade School one day a week, and for the right applicant we will consider fast-tracked apprentices with sign off at 3 years instead of 4 years

All work hours tracked via electronic app with works hours beyond 40hrs onsite to be paid at overtime rate of time and a half

All tools, work uniform and safety equipment supplied.

EBA rates applied for EBA job sites – apprentices will spend approx. 50% of their work hours on commercial and domestic sites

You will be required to;

• Must have a Driver's licence and reliable motor vehicle
• Ability to be able to work by yourself or with the team
• Preferably live within the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, as our work is based in this area
